ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
The DCCI and BCCI lays down eligibility criteria for a player to be registered to be able to play for a State Association and the same is sent every year. This year’s eligibility criteria is as under:
Criteria of a player for the season 2024-25:
A cricketer shall be eligible to play for a member on the basis of:
- Birth Qualification : A member within whose jurisdiction he / she is born.
Or
- Education Qualification / Bonafide Employment/Bonafide Residence: A cricketer to be eligible as a local player should be studying / working / residing in the jurisdiction of that Association for a year i.e. he/she should have been studying / working/residing in your jurisdiction, since 01.09.2023.
Documents required for considering a cricketer as a local player on the basis of education / employment / residential criteria:
- Education School/College Mark sheets for the academic years 2022-23 & 2023-24, which should be authenticated by the Principal,
AND
Bonafide Certificate signed by the Principal on the letterhead of that concerned school / college mentioning admission number, date of admission, date of birth in school / college records, and the academic class studying in currently.
Or
- Employment Employer Certificate along with twelve months salary slip (Starting from September 2023)
Bank statement from 01.09.2023 till date of online registration for a particular Tournament he/she intends to represent the Association, showing salary credited to his/her account by the concerned Employer / Company / Organisation/Institution.
Or
- Residential Passport Copy / Copy of Voters ID / Copy of Aadhaar Card (The documents should be issued on or before 01.09.2023 in the Jurisdiction of that Association).
